Company History

In the mid-80’s, two reputable general contractors established in the 70s, entered into a joint-venture agreement, to undertake significant expansion works for Ecuador´s largest oil refinery.

This successful relationship led to the fusion of the two companies and formally incorporated in the mid-90’s under the name SANTOSCMI S.A. Since then, SANTOSCMI has gained recognition for its high quality work under tough schedules, building several thermoelectric power plants and oil production facilities. SANTOSCMI grown into a multinational engineering, procurement and construction company that has learned to put effective teams to work on complex design-build solutions; at times, in very remote locations under aggressive schedules.

Over the past twenty years the company has expanded to 18 countries within Latin America and the Caribbean and has become a regional reference as a specialty contractor.
